Got a call from my father in law who was approached to see if I was still interested...  Should have an answer pretty soon.  We are talking near to scrap price...

Patience paid off.  My father in law came through.  It should be here sometime next week.  Now to figure out which way I want to go with it...

They could have scrapped it for more money, probably close to twice the amount...  They were getting it running to drive it out to me.  I am really leaning toward something really different but will have to see a buddy and talk it over with him...

Father in law called and said it is in his driveway and running strong.  Can't wait for him to bring it to me.  He says it sounds healthy and has a lobe to it, thinking it has an other than stock cam... We'll see...

Look what showed up an hour ago...  Runs strong, is really loud and makes the perfect starting point for an eventual crew cab swb...  Now the planning begins..

Give me a long enough lever and a place to stand, and I shall move the earth or break this bolt...Whatever, just hold my beer!

Yes, undecided whether to go 1/2T or 3/4... but it is a long term project, have to raise the money and hunt down the parts...
