Title: Stuck tailgate window on 84 Blazer
Post by: OldFred on July 07, 2003, 06:46:00 PM
Hey all. Need some help. My tailgate window (electric) is stuck in the down position. Really, firmly stuck. Been this way for years is my suspicion (truck fairly new to me). What I need to know is how to get to the rolling mechanism. Because the window is down I cant get to the mechanism, the glass is in the way. I cant see how the tailgate would seperate to allow me in there. Any help on how I can get to it and try to figure out why it won't roll? Its not an electrical problem (at least not totally) as I can get it wiggle a bit by hitting the switch, its just too stuck for the switch to actually move it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. On either why its stuck or on how I can get to it to determine the problem. THanks all!

I would take it to a body shop and have them look at it.  I have heard horror stories about people breaking the back glass.
