Hello everyone, this is my first post.
I've read quite a lot on the board, but do to my lack of knowledge I have yet to contribute.
I am trying to install new hinge pins on my drivers door. I have the door off, and cut the bottom pin out. I bought the $5 'help' kit at autozone with a pin and brass bushings. I tapped the new bushings into place, and tried to hammer the new pin in, but it wont go. I have beat the heck out of it with a hammer and it wont drive into place. Is there a trick I'm not aware of or a special tool? It slides down almost to the head of the pin, but the part immediately under the head of the pin has ridges all the way around it.
And I thought getting the old pins out was the hard part!
