Idea on shortening a long bed
« on: August 27, 2014, 05:34:16 AM »
So I was looking at my c20 the other day from the side and got an idea. I kind of wanted to turn it into a short bed, but at the same time I dont. I like the stance and the wheel base of my truck. But then I thought, what about shortening the rear of to keep the wheel base? Cut from just behind the wheel well to just before the tail lights and shorten it up. So when you drop the tail gate its right at the edge of the wheel well. I thought it might look pretty interesting, but I cannot find any pictures of it anywhere. What would you guys think?

let me see if i can get my photoshop working tomorrow. but till then give me a nice side view of your truck. i dont think you will like it and you have to leave room at the rear for the spring hangers

Haha oh my gosh. Ok Irish now suck the fuel door up to cab like an extended cab. So it's got a 3 foot bed.

man if you are gunna do something like that, would almost be worth making a truck out of a blazer frame. swapping everything over then working on the bed

Nope, just like that. That looks so funny. They both look kinda weirdly cool. The first one, I would think is actually usable, the second would be more of a show/gimic truck, just to show what can be done. I would drive it still.

That third pic is about how long the trazer is. I saw a yellow one and it literally had like a 2ft bed. It looked pretty mean.
