Cab floor repair

Greetings from Iowa. I picked this 87 Custom Deluxe V10 pickup up over the summer as my first truck. I have slowly been fixing things up as I am a college student for automotive and diesel technology. My question is what's a good place to get floor replacement panels from? I am debating on either getting OEM or making it all diamond plate and spraying it with bed liner. Also rocker panels need replaced to make them or buy them?

good time to learn some body work. lol.  since you are in area where rust grows like wildfire before you paint, be sure to undercoat and protect your investment.

IMO, i would use the OEM piece that you can get from this site.  I think diamond plate would be overkill to say the least and a lot more work.  if it were me I would find out how much rust there is in the cab, it could be cheaper to find a good cab and just swap it.

Yea Iowa winters take a toll on trucks. I can get a cab for 200 with no glass or interior. My truck is going to be a daily driver but sees a lot of offroad use. Lots of mud holes around where I live so why not use them.

IMO, 200 for a cab is a steal.  you may just poke around to find one that needs less work.  do you have more pics of the floor, rockers, cab.  is the pass side the same condition?

Driver rocker is shot, driver side was drug against a pole or something so I put "new" doors on it, driver cab corner is dented in and needs replaced, passenger corner isn't bad just starting to poke through. That's about it rust wise the bed has a few holes in the floor but its no big deal

You could also take the frugal way out and tack in some 1/8 " steel plate to keep water etc. Out of the cab... That's what I did at least haha;D:D;D

Its a giant pain no doubt but if you can source a good cab for $200 I'd be all over that. Fellow Iowa boy here so I'm well in tune with the rust issue lol. Mine's not a daily anymore thankfully so she's seen her last southeast Iowa winter salt/sand bath.
