thinking about getting an 84 diesel scottsdale.   what do you like/dislike most about the 6.2   im just thinking of getting one cuz my 350 and 35 in tires eat too much gas to drive as often as i'd like

well im a strictly diesel guy, and i love the old IDI, with my current setup i SHOULD be getting around 25 mpg, and ive got 31's with street tread, a common modification would be adding a banks turbo kit or the turbo parts off of a 6.5.. mines staying N/A just because i want it too, they last forever, weve got a 83' in the barn that has over 1mil miles, with no rebuilds, now it lost oil pressure a few years back so we parked it, needs bearings at LEAST, its lowered and a real slick truck, but i would go for it, considering milage and condition is to your liking
