Yep, common. The delay controller is bad. The sad news is that these things cost ~$70 (that's usd) here. Lord knows what they'd cost there.

 :o

That is a lot! Maybe I'll leave it, it gives the truck character!

Thanks 78 Chevyrado

Welcome from the opposite end of the otherside of the Pond ;D  Great Looking Truck! 8)  Curious, what kind of Tank(s) do you have for the LPG, and what conversion has been done under the hood???  Any pics of your Setup???  Sorry for all the questions, just have been thinking about converting my truck or even my car.....

Dragon,

Here's some pics of the LPG system for you... Apologies for the quality, they were taken on a camera phone.

The LPG tank in the bed, next to the spare wheel I won on eBay the other day for 1 penny!!!!

Then where the LPG lines come out the firewall (once again there's rust from where the conversion company have done work  >:( )

and finally where the lines go into the top of the carb...

Hope this helps. Joe

Painted the grill silver and got some hub caps, looks a little fresher I think... (apologies for the phone pics, for some reason everything looks bluey! Need to change the settings on my camera I think)

It looks more like mine now :D . With the exception of the color and the fleetside bed. Looks good.

Welcome to the site. I think your truck looks great.  I would change the wheels and drive it.  It's amazing what a nice set of rims can do to the look of a vehicle.  We had a 83 crew cab dually that ran on propane.

A couple of updates on the truck...

Got my crossover box in, unfortunately had to get an unsightly notch cut out of it, in order for it to clear the LPG tank, but its usefulness outweighs its looks...

After buying a virtually brand new 89 front end set up  ::), I found a field full of rusting blazers and suburbans owned by a farmer, pretty much gave me the greenlight to strip them for whatever parts I needed....

So I stripped the front end off of this 85 (couldn't believe how good the front panel was considering it had been sitting there 13 years!!) .... then got it shot blasted

Did these quick photoshops, still tryna decide what to go for, reckon the 87 set up suits it better....  ???

Finally got round to putting my new double headlight front panel on.

I know I've got the wrong headlight surrounds on for my grille, but want to put an 85 - 87 grille on.

Very clean truck, must be an odd site over there. Is it a gray market import?

That's beautiful blue color, love it!

She looks much better than single headlights.

Stock grille with 1985-1987 duel headlight bezels looks much better.

I love the In n Out Burger sticker in the back window! I wonder how that sticker made it all the way over there.
