If we are unsuccessful in convincing people just how dangerous this is, and they choose the path of Russian roulette at least stay on top of your u bolts as longer u bolts can loosen quickly. I get scared every time I see this. There are better ways than 80's technology. Thanks for posting that Irish!

I was on a debate on face book about this. Someone spoke up and said my semi has them from the factory. I then pointed out the axle drop semis have and even with blocks its never above the centerline of the axle unlike ours. And like you said let's not forget ubolt stretch. Or the lawsuit against one block company for killing one and hurting two

"COSTS MONEY TO GO TO SCHOOL" If a driver chooses to run blocks they will defiantly end up getting an education sooner or later. Hopefully your post will open some eyes.

I have had the big rig block argument thrown at me a few times over the years. I too point out about the axle center line issue. I have been told I don't know what I am talking about! I tell them, try & get it inspected, it will fail. A few have found out the hard way, others conceded when a half dozen others told them the same thing I did..

I was going to do this too, haha guess not. Whats a better way to get a 3" lift up front then without buying a whole kit? I've already got 3" blocks in the rear.

Many places will sell you the front springs only.
