Title: Anyone getting Forum errors?
Post by: Captkaos on November 25, 2008, 03:34:39 pm
The database stopped accepting connections today and had to be restarted.  Since then a bunch of errors started show up.  Anyone getting this type of error?

File './chevy/smf_topics.MYD' not found (Errcode: 24)
File: /vservers/chevy/htdocs/smforum/Sources/Subs-Post.php
Line: 1386

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.7, while your database is at version 1.1.2. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I am getting them on just the post side.  I updated the software again last night to fix the search for good and something must have gotten forked up.

I may have to move to my own server.... Sheesh.

All kinds of wierd stuff was going on.  I tried several times today to even get on the site with no luck.  When I did finally get on and tried to change some things and give my $.02 it wouldn't.

I got on once today

Connection Problems
Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. This may be caused by the server being busy. Please try again later.

This one means there were a TON of people actively and the server ran out of connections and crashed.  They have to bounce the database to fix it.  Only way to make it go away permanently is to upgrade to an unshared server cluster = $$, I am evaluating it over the cost now.

If you see it, email webmaster@73-87chevytrucks.com and toolmaster@73-87chevytrucks.com so we can fix it asap.

I appreciate it, The site renews in April so I am going to see if there is enough support/donations funds to cover it.
