They should allow the tires to clear. Not recommended for extreme off road use, but will work if you dont try to jump it over hills ;D

No because if they come out you will lose control since that is the steering axle.

Definitely stay away from lift blocks in the front. Either add a leaf or get a lift kit.

Cheapest, add a leaf and rear blocks. Longer shocks and a steering arm. You can buy a 4" lift with shocks and u-bolts pretty cheap too.

something like this. If you shop around you'll find many company's with free shipping like jc whitney

I hate blocks myself.  I think it's worth the extra money for the kit with full springs.  In Michigan front blocks are illegal to run too.

Georgia sucks!  It says you can't modify bumper height more than 2 inches HIGHER OR LOWER than OEM.

In Md. your not supposed to touch the suspension any but as long as you don't go around with strait pipes, spinning tires your good in the country, as far as going into the city with a Redneck Truck lol you better bring backup. but Md also offers "historic" plates which means no inspection but also limits the amount you can drive the vehicle in MD its only on the week ends or to events theres other reasons why you can dive but those are the main and like b4 with the lift cops only bother you if your making an ass out of your self and if you do they will bust your balls on everything. De also offers "historic" plates but they call them "antique" plates but you do have one inspection you have to pass its the first one. check with your state about that to on there dmv web site

dunedigger, what size tires are you running and with what lift. I have the donor truck for my extended cab and am getting ready to put it on, and am trying to figure what tire size i want to run. I dont think the 38's on the donor truck will fit without the body lift, and am trying to steer clear of the body lift. I am thinking 35x12.50x15s with the 6 inch suspension lift.

I've read recently that lifts in MD are in fact legal to a limit. It was 28" to the bottom of the frame for 1/2 tons and 30" for most 3/4 and 1tons. Tires can't stick out passed the fenders or flares more then the size of a quarter(mine were 6" passed the flare back in the day). I believe the headlight can't be more then about 54" high and tail lights were 72".
I have historic plate on mine and will test laws when I get aroudto lifting it. I drive it on a regular basis in the summer with no problems.
