Post by: 1983stepside on December 04, 2008, 03:49:56 pm
I'm building my 1983 Chevy c10 stepside Ive owned since i was 14 I'm gonna put a 3/5 drop coils/flipkit and a fuel cell in the rear and put a 350 in instead of the straight 6 it had with a 4 speed tranny I'm wanting to keep it stock looking with all the emblems and mirrors and handles etc... so i I'm gonna run 15x8 in the front and 15x10 in the back does any one one have an idea of what style wheel to use in the 15 inch diameter any pics would be awsome thanks

If you want it stock looking that would mean putting stock rally's on it...  Or the aluminum optional wheels.

there are only a few choices on stock: The ones got2haul has, factory rallys an the factory aluminum ones.
Maybe I am misunderstanding your question.

Sounds like he is wanting more of a Car look with his rims, instead of the Truck Steels or Aluminum rims.......  Here try these 10 pages then 83Step, they are all 5X5" Bolt Patterns, can be ordered in the proper Backspacing, and there are sizes from 15"-20" all made to look like Factory Rims....

Sounds like we have similar plans.

I'm planning to drop the truck either 3"/5" or 4"/6" and keep my 15" rally wheels, but paint them red and add some spider caps.  Then run some OE size wide white walls on the drop.

Well I'm going to be keeping my truck flat black/primer for a few wheels.  So I'm probably going to paint the wheels red to go for that hot rod look.

If it were me, and I was painting the truck blue, I'd leave the wheels as is with that gray finish.

Me personally, the rally's I've got (painted red) is just going to hold me over until I can save up enough cash to paint the truck and then I'll get some 20" to go in there place.

I would like to find the wheels that you have on your grey truck, but in the five lug pattern.
