Title: School me on 79-80-81 pick-ups

I have seen various parts on these trucks..like an 1980 with the old dash pad /newer gauges etc.

what are the differences ? I also have noticed changes in the headlight bezels etc.

80 was the last year of the rounded nose. They had the old dash pad. They were available with square head lights.
81 was the first year of the more streamlined hood, and fenders. The new grill, square lights, and the flat top dash. As far as gages go there are subtle differences over the entire run of 73-87 trucks.

are you looking for a chromed or a painted grille for 79 gmc?
