Hey guys, I'm going to be starting a project in the semi-near future and I need some help. The project is going to be of a famous Shoebox Chevy named "Project X." I'm going to start with a model kit of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air and try to build it into Project X. Here's where you guys can get in on it. I am looking for anything related to Project X from 1965 through 2005, before the big GM rebuild of it. I have searched the net for about a week trying to find info and pics of it before the rebuild, but all I can find is pics after the rebuild. I am open to any info on it at all. I will also do a WIP thread on it in this section if that's ok with everybody? Thanks in advance.
P.S. Here's a pic of my 1/12 '57 Bel Air.

Paint it yellow and you'll have one of many variations of the famous HOT ROD Magazine's Project X
(you must have watched that episode yesterday of HOT ROD TV)

saw the real deal many years ago at one of the Super Chevy Shows, what a piece of history. A 2 door sedan/post would be more appropriate as well for the build. Enjoy.

There was a issue of popular hot rodding with the feature of project X on the cover.I think it was around 1991-1995 i think If you go on ebay and look into project X you may turn something up or on google search as well.
thanks

There were so many changes to that car, you could pick something randomly and have it right somewhere in time.

I watched a thing on speedvision this weekend where they just did another complete rebuild of project x I think it was Hotrod tv doing it. One of the many things they changed was an all aluminium 427 with 6 speed the bullets in the hood they opened up to a cold air induction really slick.

GM Performance did the build, Hotrod TV covered it.
