Is there a way to completely flush and replace your coolant at home? I'm thinking I need to do this within the near future.

Yes. Go to autozone or the like and get yourself a drain bucket, some cooling system flush and a garden hose. Drain the radiator and drain the engine block on both sides. You may need to remove the knock sensor if so equipped. If no coolant comes out of the block poke it with a small screwdriver. Refill it with water and some flush. Run the truck and drain it all again. While you're at it replace your thermostat and gasket and back flush the heater core as well.
