Title: Headers on a 4.3 V6
Post by: three8six on January 02, 2009, 10:13:07 pm
I got a set of Pace setter shorty's for a 96-98 C1500 with a 4.3 V6. I was successful in making them fit. I had to cut part of the accessory bracket on the driver's side of the engine. I also had to ball peen in one of the tubes the middle one on the passenger side. I hope this helps someone else out. I had asked this before on here and nobody had tried/done it.

No I wish I did but anybody with a ball peen hammer, and a die grinder could do it. I'm definetely not a mechanic and I got it to work. Also you're stock flanges won't meet up. I'm not sure of anybody who keeps their stock exhaust with headers though.
