Title: Long Term No Use
Post by: 77IndyStepside on January 06, 2009, 01:40:33 pm
I have not driven my 77 Stepside for a number of months and most likely will not drive it until spring.  Anything that I need to consider when storing it for this length of time with no use?  The battery cable is disconnected, but have not really done anything else with it.  Let me know if I am missing something major here.

Thanks.

Throw a bottle of Sta Bil in the tank and i was told from a old timer to throw a few mothballs in the truck, they absorb moisture.

thanks

Thanks for the tips Pat - what exactly is the Sta Bil that you mention?

Keeps the fuel for going bad, get it anywhere.

change the oil before you store it and run it every once in a while.
