hey guys, just saying hi and introdcing myself to the group. from South eastern mass, born and raised. i've always been a fan of chevy's and have owned one since i was 14, except it was a gmc.
found this site during a search for some info on my recent purchase: a 1982 chevy K-10 Single cab, short bed. since it came home i've been fixing things here and there with it. (it had sat for 3 years before i acquired it, before that it was a plow truck, but originated and resided in phoenix from 82-98)
I found out the previous owner swapped in a 350 small block with a th350 tranny behind it. a nice find considering i thought it had 305 (as the glovebox says)
so far i have had to replace all the brake lines, wheel cylinders, and calipers, installed a new flowmaster exhaust (temporarily till i get headers), windshield wipers, new starter solenoid, new fuel lines, and the other usual stuff (battery cables, battery, cap and rotor) once the warmer weather rolls around i will start on some of the body work. it only needs rocker panels and some minor door rot repair to be mint.
sorry for the long intro and looking forward to the help and advice!

Does your truck still have the plow on it? looks like we are getting more snow Saturday.

yea it still has the plow on it. I actually bought it to be used as a plow truck, and decided it was in better shape than my 73 and more worthy to restore/fix back to daily driver status. (quite suprising considering i paid $500 for it, with the plow) I went out today and sanded and salted my customers driveways, we have literally a half inch of ice on almost every driveway (at least the ones that get little sun.) this is a good winter to have a plow truck!!
do you plow? fun little "hobby", er, way to get away from the girl, er, good time to have a cold one, er, ya you know.....
blazin: where in NH are you? did you get hit by the ice storm a few weeks ago?? my brother lives outside keene and was without power for like 12-13 days

Welcome from North Central Mass. Bellingham is a nice area, my company has a division located in Holliston.
Good steal on that truck for $500. I spent more than that on my "parts truck", though to be honest the "parts" I used from it was everything except the body.
