Title: cab corners second time around
Post by: Farmboy on January 07, 2009, 11:19:58 am
I am going to re-do my cab corners for the second time.  They were done 9 years ago by a bodyshop and started rusting almost from the get go.  Will I have any additional problems running into old welds or other issues before I start?  Thanks for any help I get.

I would make sure you cut off their joint. How are the inner cab corners? You might need to rebuild them and when you are done with the outers spray some sort of rust preventative and or oil down inside them from behind the seat, and through the plug hole in the inner part.

dont forget the seam sealer and like said paint the panels..ZDont rely on the e coating even though its tough it will wear down to abuse from the elements.

i used eastwood rust encapsulator on my cab project and used lots of brush on seam sealer.
