The headers fit great and have been leak free but mine had the ceramic coating on them and it burned off immediately. They weren't covered under warranty because they had a hole drilled in them for an 02 sensor (TPI motor).
For my Camaro I bought the Hooker Super Competition ceramic coated headers that cost $650. The coating is flaking off those too.
You have the right idea, save your money and buy the painted ones.

Mine isn't lowered or going to be, but i hate headers hanging low. I can't find it, but I have seen somewhere somebody said chevelle or camaro headers will work for this

In that case :-[ , mine hangs about 2.5" below the bottom of the frame rails. It's not obscene and is still higher then the transfer case crossmember. Hope this helps. ;)

Chevelle 3/4 length headers work. set i ordered from summit came in.

Post by: oldwhity on January 14, 2009, 06:54:45 am: As far as fitment, no problems with mine. Gaskets still good, spark plug boots don't touch and went in without bangin anything up(not that it would make a difference in my engine compartment). ;)
