Title: Auto Transports
Post by: Buckeye nut on January 17, 2009, 01:17:36 am
Anyone out there know of a good auto transport company? I need my 84 Scottsdale 6in susp. lift 35 in tires hauled from central ohio to east Tennessee. I have checked several places and they told me that my truck is too big. Any carriers out there that specialize in hauling big trucks?
Thanks in advanced.

Most Standard Auto Transporters have either a Custom Car Carrier enclosed trailer, or they have the open side two level Auto Carrier Trailer, neither of which would be capable of hauling your truck in it's current state.....   They Might be able to get around that, by you paying them to swap the wheels to a smaller size to get it on the trailer(Most won't do that, as their Insurance won't cover them should anything happen).....

You might be able to set something up with a  Company like this

Probably will cost a pretty penny, unless you Luck out, and they have room on a delivery run that is coming close to you....

Find a local transporter because you will save money. they have connections with other haulers. Stay away from A-1 auto transport and check with the better business bureau
