Title: TPS adjustment
Post by: plumberkrak on January 19, 2009, 10:23:34 pm
hello. i have an 87 3/4 ton 4x4 truck with a 350. my check engine light is coming on and off lately and so i checked the code. it was a code 22. Throttle posistion sensor is set to low. my question is if anyone can tell me what the sensor should be set at (voltage wise) and how to adjust it? thanks for any response.

dint know you could adjust it but autozone should have books behind the counter for the zoners to use to test tps and other electrical things they should also have the tools to test it

loosen the screws and rotate the tps until you read .55v with the throttle closed. Then tighten the screws. If you don't have a scan tool just back probe the sensor with your meter.
