I have mounts for dash speakers left and right in my dash, and also a slot for a 3x9? in the middle. I see some dudes runnin 2x4" in that center opening, and I think I may try that. what I want to know is what size speaker came stock at the door sides of the dash? is that mounting bracket for a 3"?
sorry, Im not sure when measuring speakers if you measire the bolts pattern on the bracket, the overall, or just the cone.
someone in here had 6x9 brackets for the rear cab corners for sale.. can anyone direct me towards that website/member that had that please>
thanks,
Pete

You can fit 3.5" speakers in there. that's what I always use. You'll just have to make sure the terminals don't hit the metal dash and drill the appropriate holes. I think the stock ones are 3".

Stock = 3", but 3.5" will fit. If you are buying stereo equipment, you don't want the stock ones.

awesome. Any luck on that 6x9 fitment issue for the rear cab corners?
-
Bigblock73 had the rear corner brackets for these that hold 6x9's. I don't know if he is going to make another batch though.
-
I could use a set of those 6x9 brackets considering mine are just stickin to the corners via the magnets.

I'm glad I read this -- I'm gettin' ready to tear into my dash again and didn't know 3.5" speakers would fit where there 3" ones were! Awesome! :)

do you need to do any extra drillin for that 3.5 inch speaker to fit?> or does it just bolt in close-watch-for-shorts-style?>
thank again/.
