So a different thread got me thinking about this. My first truck was 2wd and I wanted it taller in the worst way. After a lot of searching for a lift I ended up finding a 4x4 frame for 35 bucks. So my plan was to swap my truck over to that frame. Instead of modifying the cab I ended up going back for the original cab to the frame. A few years later I had my 1980 4x4 and didn't use any of the 76. lol. Looking back I sure wish I just found a nice 4x4 to start with. But that lead quickly to my 4x4 addiction as well ;D

My red truck is the first 4x4 of these trucks I have ever had. Oldyellers 01 chevy 2wd has a 6 inch lift on it, and I love it, but for some reason the red one has gotten me addicted to 4x4s. On her truck, if you didnt look under it, you couldnt tell its not a 4x4. Most people thins its a 4wd suburban. It handles like a dream, but the only way I can see to lift one of these in a 2wd version is to build a full on pre-runner truck with flared fenders and all. Heres her truck
