Title: Whistlin Q-jet
Post by: 82Shortbed on January 21, 2009, 11:39:40 pm
Just curious to know, is it normal for a Q-jet to whistle when you crack the throttle a little after its warmed up?  My truck is my first Q-jet, so I don't know a whole bunch about them.

NO.
I would check the routing of your tubes.  Then I am guessing you might want to figure out if you need to just tighten it down a real small amount, or if you need to change a gasket.
grab a tube and a funnel.  Put the funnel to your ear and the tube is for locating the position of where that whistle is coming from.  Could just be a bad hose.
