I have a 84 GMC Sierra, it looks good, it runs good, but the interior is shot. I mean the door panels are faded, the seat is tore up, the carpet is ragged out, and the dashs is cracked to all heck. I was thinking of going down to the junkyard to try finding suitable replacment stuff on the cheap, now what years and what GM truck models will work for me and still look right in it? I know I can cover the seat, the cushion in it is still good, the door panels are just faded and I could always spray them with vinyl paint, but the carpet and dash board are the 2 biggest problems that I know I will need to replace

Chris has you covered with one stop Site Store Shopping for all of the interior needs...... As for wrecking/salvage yard panels, any '81-87 GMC/Chevy Pickup,Blazer,Jimmy, and Suburban would swap for you....... Anything from '73-80 wouldn't look or fit right.......

Ditto no what Rob said. 81-87 for carpet, 81-91 for dashes (R/V on 89-91)
