im building a 83 chevy stepside 2wd, it has a 1987 chevy 350 in it, well will be in it, i want to put a 4 speed in it, not low-4 an actual 4 speed 1-4, ive been noticing on here that some have muncies in there trucks, what would be the best muncie to put in my truck, i plan on crusing and sometimes take it down the strip for fun, and just beat the truck every now and then, also i was wondering since mincies are kind of expensive, would a saginaw 4 speed be able to handle my driving habbits? only wondering because if so ill probly get a saginaw for now because there a little bit cheaper any info or recomendations would be greatfull thanks 8)

heres an explaination of why saginaws shouldnt be behind more than a stock 305

see how the gears have only been stripped 3/4 of the way? thats because only 3/4 of the gear mesh with eachother, this was done with a 350hp small block, and i wasnt even on the throttle too hard. this is 1 of 2 that i blew up in the matter of a month, the first one was me just opening up my truck, this one happend roll on 2nd gear.

M20 or M20 is a good Muncie to get if you want a 4 speed. They won't be cheap though.
I had a M22 in mine until I sold it to someone restoring a 69 SS Camaro that used to have one and they gave me enough money I bought a rebuilt Nash 4+1 and put the extra cash in my pocket.
