Title: single to double headlight
Post by: Laderhosen on February 01, 2009, 10:43:16 am
Thinking of converting my single headlight 82 Scottsdale to double headlights. This is the front panel.... is it the same as on a double headlight model??? Is there anything I need to change?

You will need a core support from a quad headlight truck. Also the head light / directional wire harness from the fuse box out.

Knew I'd need to mess with the wiring loom, by core support do you mean the panel that supports the radiator core?? ie the black bit!  ::)

Yes, It has the pressed areas for the headlamp buckets to sit & the holes for the headlamp adjuster/mounting screws. Lorne

Its a half hour job to replace the wire harness. Everything unplugs from the lights, there is two ground near the top inside of the core support, above the headlights area. All the holders unsnap with a small screwdriver. Take the one bolt out of the center of the plug into the cab bulkhead connector, and unplug the harness. Replace with the correct one.
