I finally got around to taking some pictures to post. I've recently completed several projects.
- I put a flip kit on the rear, dropped spindles and cut springs in the front. I also installed new shocks
and a rear sway bar.
- I painted the rallye wheels and replaced two tires.
- I replaced the grille and bezels.
- I have fixed all the oil and vacuum leaks and put a rebuilt carb on it. Fixing the oil leaks consisted of
Intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets and pan gasket.
- Put Pioneer CD player and speakers in. It had original 4X10's behind the seat, so I put new Kickers in those
housings and small Kickers in the dash.
The truck has original paint and interior. Next up is the re-dyeing of the dash and door panels. Whomever had it last put some sort of glossy stuff on and it looks terrible. Also, I'm going to replace the window seals and felts.

Man Rock, I love the clean stock look with a drop. The bottom pic lookc like calender material.

Here are some inside shots and the build sheet.

Thanks, Whity!
I took some engine pics but the files were 134kb and won't upload. How do I make them smaller?
-
I put all mine on photobucket.com and download them from there.

Wow..... is that ever clean... nice truck man.
-
nice truck
-
Very nice... Same color scheme as mine. White with red interior... KEEP YOUR DOORS LOCKED! ;)
Your interior is in much better shape then mine.
I am wanting to change my interior to black, not sure how well that would contrast with the with metal inside.....
Very nice truck.
-
Well, it wasn't that clean when I got it. My wife threatened to throw my clothes away after I did the suspension and the oil leak fixes. :)
Thanks for the compliments.
-
Very nice truck Rock! I wish mine was half as clean. Which spindles did you use and how much did you cut the coils? I really like the stance.
-
I used the DJM spindles and flip kit with new springs from . I ended up cutting 3/4 of a coil off the front springs. There's a long thread in the Suspension forum. Thanks!
-
rock.... did you clean that engine bay up or was it like that?.. very good shape... same color as mine aswell..... !!!!!
-
The engine bay was pretty much like that. I did pressure wash it. It's a nice original truck. That's what attracted me to it. My father in law had an '84 that he sold before I knew he was going to get rid of it. Ever since, I'd been looking on and off and found this one locally. If you saw the underside, you wouldn't believe it. I don't think it's ever seen mud. Most of the filth I cleaned off was due to the oil leaks and dust settling on it.
-
That looks awesome. I noticed that your jack is on the drivers side fender weel. I guess they changed it over the years. Mines on the pass side.
-
Wow, that's a hot truck man! Love the stance. NOTHING better in 73-87 than an 81-87 swb with trim, rallys, and the right stance. You nailed it.
-
Looks good. Nice pick on the kicker components. I love Kicker.
-
Great looking truck 8) You nailed the stance.

Thanks, guys! I'm re-dying the interior panels and I put new door glass rubber in. It's the never ending project right now.
