Well guys.....I just removed my old lower TPI manifold to prepare to install my comp 260 and 193 heads, and found that my block has the castings for the roller rocker keeper tray...arrgh! ( was looking into roller cams)
But i`m stoked, because if I want to go roller in the future, I can use stock GM parts to do so! Less $$$$

Why not return the cam and do it now?
-
Just ran it on cam quest to see what the diff would be....12 ft lbs more torque @ 2000, but gave 266hp@ 4000.......235@ 3500 with the non roller 260 cam.
If money were no issue right now, I probably would return it, and get a roller setup, but with that said, I may as well go vortec( Heads and intake, new PROM)....It`ll have to wait.

Do you plan on doing any port work to those 193's?
I played around with a set a few years ago and was quite surprized with the results using an L98 roller cam with a carb
Remove an intake valve and you'll see there is plenty of room for improvement.

nahh, just putting them on the way they are. Already have one on, waiting for weather to clear to finish up. I am surprised at how much bigger the intake ports are on the 193`s!
