Mixed reviews across the board, just like Patriot heads.  I believe, both ProComp and Patriot are cast in China and machined in the US.  Some say it's they're best deal ever on a SBC head, others say cheap Chinese crap.  Are you a gambling man?

Just curious, have the Chinese copied the actual small block yet?

I've seen a lot of negative things about the Patriots, but I hear that Gunnar(the owner) tries very hard to make sure the customer is satisfied.  A few years back, I read that they were pretty crappy, but shortly after that they started to redeem themselves and rebuild their reputation.  I almost bought a set for my LS motor, but it wasn't in my budget at the time.
Another thing.  Gunnar said that his stuff doesn't come from the same place as ProComp and his heads have very little in common with those.  Like was already mentioned, ProComp heads are offshore castings and who knows what you'll get...it's hit or miss from what I've been reading.

Never heard about any of this about either head, although I've heard more about Patriot than I have of ProComp. ProComp seems pretty new to me. Patriot I've seen in some mag articles and checked one out at the local speed shop. I've only read and heard good things about them. Offshore castings sounds about right though, since there has to be a reason they are so much cheaper than other aluminum heads out there.
