Any pictures I post you have to click on to increase the size, while other members figured out how to post larger pics. I'm using photo shop. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? thanks

Most of the larger pictures are uploaded from photobucket accounts. Its also a little easier to post the pics from there

That is the thumbnail view. That is how the site is setup, pics over 800x600 are resized down.
Alot of people link straight from another photo website so the thumb view isn't there.
BUT, after you upload it, you can reference it directly like this:

I have a picture hosting account with a different site than photobucket. How can I link directly to those pics and where do I put the link?
-
same way, just put the link in the post and click the IMG button above the area where you type.

I am new and trying to get pics in posts. Following your suggestions the best I can understand-here goes

Just an attempt to learn how to get a picture in a post. Advice please if it does not work. Thanks

It worked. You just need a larger file size wise, but no more than about 30K in size, 128K per post.

I guess I am doing ok. The only problem is that Picasa web album may be reducing the size. I am going to try it out of my Photobucket account and see if there is a difference. (http://i651.photobucket.com/albums/uu237/Chevystepsidepu/pumotorview.jpg)

The forum will only display 800x600, so if you have something larger the forum will resize it.
I have picassa and it you can link right to it...
