Post by: hotrod87 on February 27, 2009, 08:38:11 am
I have a 87 lowered quite a bit and I have a friend who is basicly going to give me a set of centerlines(15x8 &15x5)  howerever these have a 5x4.75 bolt pattern if I get adapters will the rear tires still clear  I have 275 60 on the rear and 255 60 front both 15" ???

How much backspacing in comparison to what you have?

**WARNING NOVICE ADVISE**
;)
From what I have read so far in my research it will poke.  The wheel has 4" of backspacing and you negate that by adding a 1" adapter to a 3" backspacing.  It is my understanding that the least you want to keep it under the fenders is 3.25".  So depending on how low you are they can work, but they will be past the fenders.

CAP Please correct me if I'm wrong.

With 3" of BS, you are going to be beyond the fenderlip on the tire sidewall on the front.

At what width does 3 inch of back spacing become a negative?(either sticking out of fender or hitting the dropped spindle)
