I have an 87 V-30 chevy.Everthing has been fine until today,I parked it last night went to start it today and nothing it just cranks.I checked the fuses, tried a little starting fluid still wont fire.It is a 350 tbi. with a standard 4 speed.any help would be great.

See if you have spark and injector pulse.
-
While cranking you can see fuel squirting into the throttle body. What could have happened to the spark?I have checked the fuses. Is the only fuse panel under the steering colum?
-
Only things that would make it not have spark would be coil, or ignition module, or the ECM. If you just want to through parts at it I would do the module first.
-
Where is the ecm located? :-[ I dont want to sound like a dumb azz.I called auto zone they have one $74.00 and $45.00 core.
-
Did you verify you have no spark?
-
There is no spark.I pulled a plug and held to the head had my wife crank it. no spark.
-
Ckeck B+ to the coil. Check the pick up coil resistance 800 ohms is average. If that checks out ok check the coil primary and secondary resistance. If ok replace the ignition module.

Thanks for the help! I got the truck going :) I pulled the distributer cap it was very corroded and pitted, changed it and rotor, had the ignition module checked,no good, put on a new module and bam problem solved. Thanks again.

Glad to hear you got it solved, my truck would start and run fine sometimes and sometimes it would turn over but not start, had no spark..replaced coil with an accel supercoil, didn't fix it, replaced cap, rotor, and ignition module...didn't fix it..replaced ignition switch..fixed it ::)

Joseph- to answer one of your questions- there is only one fuse panel.
