Title: I need some measurements
Post by: 406 Q-ship on March 01, 2009, 01:39:14 am
I need your help, your assignment if you choose to accept it, is to measure the rear ride heights of a stepside with the HD 56" rear 8 leaf springs.  Measure from the ground to the center of the rear fender opening, I need the tire size and any pieces that have been used to lower the truck (shackles, drop brackets, or a flip kit).

I found a place that will supply HD rear springs that are built for a certain drop, I removed 3 leafs from my springs along with drop brackets and 2" shackles, I can't remember how much the removed leafs dropped the truck.  This is where your measurements will help me.

Here is the numbers I need

1. Ride height from the center of the wheel opening to the ground
2. Your wheel size (example 255/50/16)
3. Any pieces that affect ride height (drop brackets, drop shackles....et al)

No one?  The measurements off a stock ride height truck will work just fine too.

All of them are going to be different depending on the tire size and options.  Heck none of them are going to be the same on the 4 corners.

They should be able to base the drop on the factory setup/arch...

Hey 406, i'm not sure if I have 56" springs but I do have 8 leafs. The truck is a k20 at stock height. Let me know if this is ok and i'll measure it by noon tomorrow.

It has to be a C10 and a stepside. Thanks for the help

I know that tire size and option will make a difference, that is why I asked for only HD 8 leaf stepsides and to include the tire size.  With this I will be able to get close the numbers I need.  I did forget to say I only need the rear ride height and 2wd......oops.
