I'm new to the game, picking up my first project truck next Friday w/o a carb. I am just going to throw a carb off my daily driver on it to get it home. I was just wondering if I should go with a stock carb or an aftermarket carb to put on my project. I'm wanting to do a little bit of street legal drags at the local strip and I will be wanting to do some motor work when I can afford it. Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

I'd get a holley if you want to race it at all. edelbrocks are real good for daily drivers and easy to tune, but with holleys you can tune more stuff. I'd get a 600-650cfm if you have a 305 or 350.

Its a 350 sorry about being vague.

Did you get the carb allready? Did you notice a difference?

I will be picking it up on Friday and hopefully getting it in on Saturday.

Buy the 670 cfm holley and jet it down there where you need it.
