Hope I posted in the right section....
Im about to replace my frame on my 83, and I was wondering what was the easiest wat to remove the cab from the frame? How heavy is it? Can it be lifted by a few guys??(3-4). Any ideas or advise is appreciated....G

Disconnect all the wiring, steering shaft, body mounts etc. 4 guys can do it if the fenders and doors etc are off

And i am planning on taking it off again possibly tonight so i can prep the bottom of the cab for the herculiner bed coating.

Take out as much as you can if your lifting it off by hand. The seats, cpt, and glass make a difference.
Pat, I never thought of using an engine hoist to do that. That is genius. I use a gantry crane.
