Title: 3"-4" drop...now.. a little lower!
Post by: rab5xl on March 10, 2009, 04:25:42 pm
I have a 87 Chevy 1/2 ton step side w/ a 3"-4" drop. It is lowered with 3 spindles in front and shackles and hangers out back.
Wheels are 17x8 and 17x9.5 with 245 50s and 275 50s for rubber.

I want bring the truck down an other a little lower now.  I will get 3" springs for the front that will give me 6", but can I go with a flip kit and shackles for a total of 7" out back?

Thanks.

More like 8-9" in the rear with a flip.  5/7 is about all I would recommend to someone for a static drop that they plan to really drive alot.

I agree, my truck is lowered with 3" spindles and springs with 27" tires and my lower control arms drag on every dip in the road and every speed bump, unless if almost come to complete stop which makes every one behind me mad, so I floor it until I get  back up to speed limit
