Title: should I...
Post by: 73c10Shorty on March 11, 2009, 10:56:02 pm
So I came across what sounds to me like a good deal but I wanted to run it by you experts to avoid the same kind of mistake l made last week (bought a dash bezel that won't fit my truck).

I met a guy who has 2 doors with power windows, wiring harness, switches, good glass... basically everything but the panels. They also need to be painted. He told me I could have them for $40. That sounds very cheap to me but will they work in my 73? How difficult would it be to install them and get the power windows working? Thanks for the help!

You'd need to cut the holes for the wiring harness. Hooking it up is easy. As far as the 73 goes if you have 73 door panels they won't fit your new doors.

That sums it up. You may have some issues with gaps around the doors. The cab roof and rear section was fitted at the factory after the doors were mounted.
