Title: My fiberglass hood - free with truck purchase
Post by: bake315 on March 18, 2009, 01:56:37 am
So this is the hood that came with some other parts when I bought it last March.  I have the steel hood (not original) off to the side, with quite a bit of rust and body filler in it.  I'm kind of torn as to which one to run with, so I need y'alls help!

I remember those hoods in J.C. Crappney years ago. They are ugly as sin!

I would opt for an original. I just don't see it on your truck.

Maybe it would look better if it fit right and was painted but definitely get another hood.

I rather use a steel cowl hood  and put your original 1 away in case you ever want to sell the truck. That hood just doesnt look right at all.

thanks

GET THE ORIGINAL AND YOU COULD USE THIS ONE AS A SLIDE FOR THE KIDS ON YOUR BACKYARD...  ;)

Ya, get rid of that one. I love my Harwood fiberglass one. I wanted a 4" cowl scoop like I had on my 94. The steel ones I saw were only 2" and the underside looked like crap. I would go with either a steel original one, if you like the look, or a nice fiberglass one.

Hey now there's an idea!  I could take it to the mountains next winter and four people could slide down in the snow at the same time. (that's good, because it'd take 4 people to drag it up the hill!)

I wouldnt destryo it just yet. If you destroy it, you have to figure out how to haul the junk off. If ylou can sell it,even 20 bucks, you can get paid to have someone else haul it off. If you cant sell it, then you have to destroy it to get it in the dumpster. Someone bought it once, maybe someone else will buy it again.
