Hello, My name is Chris and I have a 1983 Silverado s/b, 2wd, 305, 700r4.
It is basically all original so when it came time to get a carb, I decided on National Carburetor in Florida to replace my old quadrajet with a reman. I have never ordered from them before but if looks are an indication of quality, it is really nice. They give it some kind of bead bath that gives it a "semi-polished" look. Anyway,
I ordered it and started to do the swap when I noticed that half of my hoses and connections were capped and plugged.
I want to do this right so I was wondering if anyone could help me out with my vacuum connections. I want to keep it close to stock but if I could eliminate some unnecessary junk I will.
I am also considering installing an aluminum intake also. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance as I really need help.

Welcome from Maryland.

I know this post is 3 months old, but I would like to find out too where I can find a digram of sorts to help figure out all the connections.

On your veci label would be a good start. If you post all of the info on your truck perhaps we can come up with a vacuum diagram for you.
