-
Both of those trucks are awesome.
-
nice ... i'll buy that for a dollar :o
-
Oh man, I want one. I gotta see that movie
-
pretty cool ;)
-
i'm disapointed with the whole fast+furious series.
-
Thats sweet! Cant wait to see it. But why you disapointed Stewart?
-
Just cheap, hollywierd-type acting/storyline etc. i mean, do the car sequences in F&F match Bullitt etc.
No!
i think these movies are meant to cater to people who are not nessesarily into cars or car people. This, in itself, is not nessesarily a good thing.
If you are going to make a car movie, do it right.
2) A mitsubishi eclipse as one of the main character cars? COME ON! i mean, 40 yrs after Bullitt people are still in awe over the whole sequence and the cars as well. Do you think anyone will care about an eclipse of all cars?
This is another measure of how good a car movie is-----pick a good car. Even a vega or chevette would be more memorable.
i remain severely disappointed.

I haven't been disappointed by a single Fast/Furious installment. They are exactly what I expect them to be every time. An illogical, poorly-scripted, computer-animated bit of car cinema garbage. The days of Bullitt, Vanishing Point, American Graffiti, Two Lane Blacktop, Smokey and the Bandit, etc. are over. To be fair, these movies have no script to speak of either (with the exception of American Graffiti), but the plot was simple and believable and the car chases pure and unadulterated. Todays car movies are all about absurd computer-animated stunts, incomprehensible plots, and liberal doses of pop culture. Get used to it.
That said, the truck is cool.

These are cool, they had a little tid bit in Hot Rod last month about them.

Just because you have a negative opinion doesn't mean the movies are crap. Calm down...

That's a wicked truck! I hope they don't destroy it in the movie. What really irked me about the very first movie was that they flipped and totally trashed the only good car in the movie, that old mopar. so I haven't watched the other ones....

ditto on the Charger, felt the same way myself. I heard that it's brought back to life in this one.

You mean they had a story line ??? All I remember is a Charger, Yenko Camaro, Chevelle, a Lightning, and some cars that sounded awful but had lots of go power. I blank out on movies with cars. All I do is try to see what makes them tick. I have seen Christine several times, all I know is I want a 57 Plymouth Fury, love the Dukes of Hazard, but only because of the General Lee. Same with the Smokey and the Bandit movies. If they ever do a proper remake of Smokey and the Bandit, they have to use the 2000-2002 WS6 trans am or it wont be worth the film its on.
-
I hadn't seen that, but it wont open for me so!!
-
Those are some sweet trucks 8) I was planning on watching the movie anyway but now I have more reason to.
-
love the trucks

Speaking of cool cars, remember KITT? that was a bad trans-am back in the day. I CANT believe they used a mustang for the new series.... I watched the first show until that mustang came on pretending to be kit, and I switched it off. They should have used that trans-am prototype that looks like the new camaro., like this....

Is it too late to change kitt back to a trans-am for 2011?

Thats the next car I want, if they build it. It should be in the new Smokey and the Bandit as well if they make it. I didnt know they remade the Night Rider series. I wont be watching it either since its a Mudstain. I like the newer Mustangs but K.I.T.T. has to be a Firebird.
-
Well I just got back from watching the new Fast and Furious movie. Those trucks are in the opening scene only but man what an opening scene. There are a lot of nice older rods in this movie which is nice. It was a pretty good movie and I would recommend it to anyone that loves cars.
-
any car/truck movie is a cool movie no matter wich one it is.... long live the movies we love to watch..... action, car/truck movies.
better than a love song... just my 2 cents
-

This might be alittle off subject here, but I seen a old hot rod movie once, for the life of me I cant remember the name
of it, but it had an old man in it that built hot rods and he drove a slammed chevy longbed I believe, but had a cop friend
that kept him out of trouble, and the cop needed to chase down someone and the old man built him a bad ass cop car
to chase him. Sorry but my details are real rusty, it's been years since I seen it... but does it ring any bells with anyone
here? I'd really like to know the name.
