Title: The Fallguy --- My 79 K20-K30 project
Post by: yellowk20 on March 28, 2009, 05:18:02 pm
This is my 79K20 I bought it about 4 yrs ago from a guy in California  it was mostly stock ( 4 Inch lift 33 tires mildly built 406 small block) Silverado with nearly every option available . I added a 8 inch lift, Dana 60 front axle,. 5.13 gears, and replaced the TH400/Np203 with a 4L80E/Np205 and stainless driveshafts. I also pulled the 406 and stroked it to 434cid  I've had a few differnet sets of shoes on it but currently it has a 38.5-15.5-16.5 Interco TSL Boggers on black spoke rims with Staun beadlocks

Nice truck. How many sets of rims and tires do you have for it?

haha too many!! I have 2 sets off 44" 1 set of 38" 37" Pro-comps on 18" wheels, 2 sets of 35" ,the 33" that came with it, set of stock wheels with hubcaps, and a set 22.5 "super single" truck wheels with adapters but no tires for those yet

I'm undecided if I want to put my 2005 cummins engine in this truck or my 91 V3500 but what ever truck gets the diesel will get the 22.5 wheels and tires

Your truck looks great. I hear you about the tires, I just pulled my 44" swampers off my truck. It looked good but I couldn't stand the way it drove.

Thanks,

I dont wheel this truck,or daily drive it,I have other trucks that fill those needs . This truck is for the local cruise nights and the occasional mud bogg that we have at my place in New Mexico

I hear what your saying about daily driving a truck on 44" tires the truck in my Avatar was my daily driver for 3 months after my stepside got wrecked and i was repairing it.

I like 37" radials for Daily driving duties especially on a 17" rim because they behave like a 35" tire on a 15 Inch rim which to me is another good combo
