I found a rust free fleetside bed down the road that he will trade some parts for. I'm thinking about doing it. A fleetside would be more useful to me and less work to get finished. What do you guys think?
-
The fleetside is definitely more useful in my opinion. The stepside is a little more stylish. How is your stepside bed?
-
The floor needs to be done. The passengers fender has some rot in the back on the bottom and it needs a little work around the tailgate.
-
If it is rust free, I would get it.
-
What are you using the truck for? Do you have room to hang on to the stepside if you decide to change it back in the future?

My two year old little boy has pneumonia so I'll meet up with the guys next weekend...even if i get a good deal on it to hold onto. When i went on vacation to Oklahoma 2 months ago I saw a shortbed 3+3...how much work would this be to accomplish?
-
Good luck with your decision on the bed but first things first, take care of little man. That junk is serious in little kids. I wish you guys the best and we'll hear from you when you all is well. Take care!

I think the fleetsides are a bit more useful (interior space) and the stepsides may be a bit sportier. I'd get a stepside if I found a good deal on one, Probably since I've never had one yet. yet.... I want a blazer next though. I wonder if anybodys ever come up with a stepsde blazer just to say it had been done...lol

Ive seen a dually suburban at an auto auction a few years back. It was pretty cool but I've always wanted to make a dually short bed pickup for some reason......sounds cool in theory...lol

The bed would be so short, I think youd have to cut off part of the front fenders, and it would look retarded. I have many picks of dually suburbans, they look cool. As far as a dually blazer, I dont think it would look good.
