Hello ..
Back in the 80s (1983-1985 specifically ), we started getting box shape GMC & Chevy trucks down here. They were fine trucks, with straight 6cyl engine and a medium duty 4spd transmission .
On the contrast, these trucks were nothing compared to the known C/K trucks.
Do U guys know anything about these trucks ?
-
PS.
They do carry B-10 badges all over them and come in SWB and LWB
-
That thing looks wierd, you can see by the door glass and windshield that it looks like a chevy, but I think the rest of it looks like a furd. And not sorry to say I've never seen anything like it.
-
That is awesome. So now, there are at least three (3) front ends that can go with these trucks: The regular, the medium duty ("topkick, 6500") and this Isuzu trooperish thing.
Ghazi, if you can give me some time, i did see a link to these trucks somewhere and i can fish it up when i get the chance; i'm extremely busy at work, essentially working 24hrs, 7 days a week which i suppose is a good thing given the current economy and i should not complain. i believe these trucks were also sold in south america.

I was thinking it looked like both Isuzu, and a F150ish. Door handles and finger recess behind them look real Fordish,
-
Thats insane....kinda looks like a ford bed.... chevy cab but wow....lol kinda like it in a way..... LIFT IT!!! ;D
-
In the early 90's I worked quite a bit in Mexico, I remembered seeing 4 door Bronco's and all the Chevy trucks had Ford tail lights, a wood floor and the old style type tail gate with the chains like the 60-66 truck beds.

JRConnieK10 ..
I have to agree with you on the Ford deception
These trucks vanished and it was a while when I spotted this one last week ...
As I recall ... this truck didn't have the OEM front bumper, nor the side mirrors ...

Stewart ..
Thanks for your interest ..
i believe these trucks were also sold in south America.
I think that's why the used to call them "The Brazilian" ... I guess that nickname comes from the B-10 badges !!
I appreciate you trying to help ... in your free time & off duty ...
I can wait ...

Thanks guys for your useful inputs .
I have managed to dig up something about this truck .. and I like to share it with the rest of U guys ..
A variant of the C/K family was introduced in Brazil during the 1960s. These used the instrument cluster from the 1960-66 US Chevrolet C/K series although the exterior sheet metal layout is exclusive to Brazil. The models built included a light truck, named C-10, and a SUV named Veraneio (initially known simply as Chevrolet C-14/16), introduced in 1964. They were initially powered with a Chevrolet inline six based on the pre-1962 "Stovebolt" engines. In later years a four-cylinder diesel (Perkins Q20B) was also offered labeled as D-10 (light truck only). An alcohol-powered version of the pickup was offered beginning in the 1980s, dubbed the A-10.
After 1985, a redesigned pickup similar to the U.S. C/K series (1973-87 vintage) was introduced as the C-20, powered with the GM inline six of the U.S. Chevy II/Nova. Diesel and alcohol versions were also sold, labeled as D-20 and A-20 respectively (later models of the D-20 replaced the Perkins Q20B with a Maxion S4). The original version of the Veraneio was kept in production until 1988 (model year 1989), but it was eventually replaced with an updated version based on the C-20 family

Thats interesting. Im not sure Id be much of a fan of its body lines, but neat anyway. Looks too much like a Ford Ranger
-
Very interesting reading. Myself, I prefer the shorter dumpcart without the decorative lateral lines. I also prefer the two lighthouse version!
