I Have recently been going through and replacing all the rubber weatherstripping and door seals on my 87 model single cab truck (power windows). The old ones were badly deteriorated. However i seem to have run into a small problem identifying which one is actually inside of the door itself, at the top. It is the one that you can see your window seat in when you roll the window all the way up. When i had the door panels off i could see that there is some sort of rubbery feltish guide that the window follows when going down. It only goes down as far as the window rolls down. Is this all one piece? Is it part of the same seal that the very top of the window seats in when fully rolled up? It's hard to tell cause there seems to be more than one layer, though as stated it is badly deteriorated. I did not want to go tearing it out of there in order to find out before i have a replacement on hand. Also, it is hard to find out which one to order because the places i am looking at seem to have the shapes wrong. Anyone here ever took all that apart?

it is all one piece from the bottom of the vent track (front) to the bottom of the window guide (rear).

Ithink you're describing the upper glass run weatherstrip. There's a l/h one and a r/h one. I didn't see them in the catalogue for this site, so here's a link to Classic Industries..

GM still sells them too, if they're still in business that is. I got some after market ones for one side, the quality it just not the same as the gm I got for the other.

Ditto, GM is where I get mine...

LOL, not looking to good for em. Our trucks might be worth a little more here soon! ;D Be like Studebaker.
But yeah i got em ordered, and installed em today. I love getting new parts for my truck. Pretty cheap, too. I was expecting them to be expensive.
