How do you remove the plastic seatbelt cover on this thing (see pics below) without destroying it? I need to get the bolt underneath off so I can repaint the white plastic column pieces.
Thanks!

you should be able to pop that plastic peace off and there will be your bolt you can use your hands very easy or use a flat head screw driver
good luck

it opens. Pop out the bottom of the outer part, it hinges at the top. once it's popped up, you'll see the rest of it is under the belt bracket, you have to unscrew the bolt to get it completely off.

Being a later model it should be hinged at the bottom...

It looks like the bottom of it is hinged (with plastic) upwards -- the bolt goes through the entire piece on the backside. Since there's no hinge at the top, y'all think pulling it away from the top will allow it to hinge down where I can take the bolt out and remove the whole piece. That sound right?

Awesome! It was simple -- like y'all suggested I took a screwdriver and pried at the top of it; it popped right off and folded back.
I had done the bottom ones last year but I used the "brute force" method. Luckily they didn't break completely off, but I didn't remember how they were attached and didn't want to use that method a 2nd time!
Thanks!

Ahh heck, it made total sense to me! But taking the day off -- that's a good idea in iteslf! ;D

Actually it wasn't wrong info, it was just the wrong year. Early ones hinged at the top.

Oh good, I was feeling like a dummy. ;D
