Title: Question about side (rear) windows on a Suburban
Post by: Stowburb on April 01, 2009, 06:53:39 pm
Hey Guys, i was wondering if the slide open side windows from a K-5 blazer are the same size as the rear side windows on a Suburban?
I have seen a Suburban (going down highway) with rear windows that slide open at the front half, and was wondering if that was an option in these trucks or if they are custom windows. I was also wondering if the slide open side windows are the same dimensions as the Suburban side windows.
The truck i saw with them looked really cool, and think it would be nice to have opening windows for the third row passengers.
Thanks, any info would be greatly appreciated.
 Chris

I believe the Suburban windows are longer... The distance from the wheel to the rear bumper is longer than on the Suburban and I know there is some serious shortening involved in putting a steel burb top on the Blazer...

Maybe they were custom from an RV/Camper type place? I'm sure the actual manufacture wouldn't be that difficult - just expensive!

I used to have a Land Rover with sliding windows that came from a junked campervan.
