FolksFolks
Title says it all. I suspect I have dash warning lights needing bulbs but I don't know for sure.
85 Suburban 6.2L, diagram attached.
Thanks

the Fuel one should be 4x4, can't remember the other one, but you can shine a bright flashlight in the hole and it will light up. Some trucks didn't use both slots.

dang! I suspected I had a non-working 4x4 indicator.
I tried the flashlight trick but still can't see...anyone have any ideas?

I will check when I get home and post what the possibility is...

I had the same one in my 1980 and can't remember off hand if there was anything in there. Why not pop it out? It'll take you 10 minutes.

In my 1980 cluster it showed a 4x4

I found this cluster pic on ebay, but, as for my 91 gmc suburban, the following is noted (a diesel will be different though)

i think the one on the fuel gauge is "seat belt" light.

MYSTERY SOLVED!
The one on the fuel gauge is the Seatbelt Warning - I forgot I had pulled the warning buzzer unit for that, hence no light.
The one on the speedo is the 4x4 indicator (did I mention its a Suburban K10?)
I ripped the instrument cluster apart (good practice, I'm sure I'll need to do it again) and checked the non-working 4x4 lamp. Bulb was OK. One terminal is live 12v but the other side gives me a click deep in the dash somewhere and a weak testlight when the 4WD is engaged...something tells me there's a bad circuit. Any ideas?

trace the wire from the 4wd switch.

trace the wire from the 4wd switch.
Say, VileZambonie, I don't have a manual or schematics for this beastie.
Where is the 4WD switch located? On the shifter or the transfer case?

I posted all 73-87 schematics in the Tech Forum, so you have them now. :D
