I found this beauty for 150, I figure I can't go wrong been searching high and low, its on propane, 2wd no rust other than the rear of the box. It just needs a master cylinder to be on the road, Im just trying to talk my old man into it for a project.

Get it. Thats not a bad price even if it was just for parts
-
Yeah even if you didn't fix it up it would provide great parts for a better truck if you come across one. If nothing else its got more than $150 worth of parts on it.
-
yeah, i'd love to have the propane kit.... like to get a big block and put that on it....heard they do fairly decent on propane mpg wise..... get it! lol

I have run propane on a 454 C30 Crewcab, and have been around trucks all my life that run it. They do not get better mileage from what I have seen. My crewcab got 10 on propane and 12 on gas. Propane was considerably cheaper, but that has changed to where it isnt worth running it for me anymore. The local farmers use it to air up tires. (I know, that never sounded safe to me either, but they have done it for many years)
To make the engines last better, most all of them replace the valves with stainless valves, because the propane tends to run hotter, and burn them out. I can say that your plugs will be the cleanest youve ever seen.

Solid GM sheetmetal is getting hard to find. It's a steal for $150.

hmm. thats not too much better. I had a pretty cool talk with a guy that had a 427 on propane in a 77 c-20. he said he got around 14-15mpg. that might be about right though considering it was a standard cab and not a crewcab. still, no matter what the gas mileage, i would love to do it because it would be the only lifted truck around like it..... gotta look outside the box. lol you get the truck t_graham?
