-
looks good!
-
It would look better sittin in my drive way. Very nice
-
Here is another pic. This is my first project. First time rebuilding an engine, doing body work for paint, rebuilding the front suspension and the 3rd member etc.. Not to bad for a first timer heh.
-
Very nice, I hope to get started on mines soon
-
Now that I have been checking others peoples projects, I wish I would of taken more pics and documentation. I will be starting on my next project soon, a 66 Mustang, I will definetly take a lot of pics.
-
Nice truck. I tend to be partial to blue though. Thought about painting my old yeller truck blue to match my 2001 chevy, but I think it needs to stay yellow and tan.
-
Nice looking truck.

Not bad at all! Nice lookin' pickup!

Looks great! How low did you go(parts and pieces)?
I hate pointing out stuff but your right front wheel doesn't look centered. Is it just the angle? I wouldn't want you to ruin a tire because somethings out of wack.
-
That front wheel is way out of place it looks like to me and I like the truck man you done some good work.
-
Thanks for the compliments fellas, the front wheels are turned to the right a bit, and also the angle I took the picture is off, but trust me the wheels are straight. I just rebuilt the front end about 3 weesk ago, new poly control arm and sway bar bushings, tie rod ends etc, and had it aligned. Drives like a new truck. The front end is lowered about 3-4 inches with drop coils, and the back has a flip kit which is lowered about 5", as it is the rear axle sits on the frame. Can't go any lower without C-notching or getting rid of the front wheel wells. I would like to lower it more but I can't with the 22's and I really hate when people starting cutting into the bed. I bought the truck lowered already so I don't know what exactly is in it.

Great looking truck! 8) I have a couple of questions, first has the bumpstop mounts been removed? When I put my flip kit on I still had room between the axel and frame after I removed the bumpstop mount. Second in that one picture it looks like your leafspring is on top of the axel, is it? Has the front hanger been flipped? In that pic from the side the spring looks flat behind the wheel, a friend of mine done his and that is the way his looked.
-
It has a flip kit so the axle sits on top of the leaf springs. The bumpstops where cut half way and some leaf springs where removed. I bought the truck that way, I really hate how the back bounces cause it always bottoms out. I am planning to install air shocks in the rear to hopefully minimize the bounce.
-
What kind of wheels are those?
-
I am posting more pics of the truck.
-
The pictures above where pretty much when I bought the truck but I already had added the phantom grill in the front. That red paint looks really good but I wish it was that nice, the paint was all cracked, bubbling and chiped, it also had some rust.
These pictures are right after I had it painted. You can see how the truck was leaning on one side. Not anymore.

Here are the pics
-
i dont really care for the bigger rims like that but the rest of the truck looks really nice
-
Did you put the 81-82 front bumper in it and remove the signal in the grille or did you get it like that?
-
Correction, 69byrd, you were right, it does not have a flip kit, the leafs springs where just removed to lower. As far as the front bumper, it is from a 81 chevy. When I bought the truck it did not have the turn signals or the front bumper so I got this bumper from a friend and and bought the lights. I really like that look.
By the way gold84gmc, there are "different strokes for different folks" everyone has there own taste. I appreciate the comment though.
As far as the wheel they are 22" Vagare Luxury Wheels V3-Bounce.
-
Nice truck. What kind of wheels are on it in the middle pic when it was painted? I just bought a set that looks just like them and I need the center caps.
-
I love the wide wheels ;D
